“Ave Maria”. This is the greeting given by the Angel Gabriel when he came to Mary to announce the news of her conception by the Holy Spirit. That is, “Rejoice, Mary, for the Lord is with you.” It is the first word of the greeting given at that time, “Ave Maria” (O Mary). Along with this, it is also the initial letter of “Alegrate Maria” (Rejoice, Mary), which embodies the hope that, as daughters of the Immaculate Conception, we too will be the presence of Mary in the world, proclaiming God’s good news.

Más arriba buscando a Dios;

Más arriba y Adelante,
Con ardiente Corazón.

and Higher

To make a new world
With a young heart, full of hope and love.
Carmen Sallés, you learned to draw
Horizons of hope,
Ways of love, of peace and liberty, and truth.

CHORUS
Forward, always forward,
Higher up seeking God;
Forward and higher,
With Mary and with love
Higher and forward,
With a fervent heart.

Carmen Sallés, great apostle of Jesus,
A tireless seeker
Who learned to respond
to the challenge of faith with love.

Which launches the adventure
To open up your heart and to make known to Jesus.

Carmen Sallés invites us to walk
With dedication and joy,
Filling us with God to be able
to share.

With your “yes” like Mary
Encourages the heart to be able to reach up to God.
