Religious Activities
As a Catholic educational institution inspired by the charism of St. Carmen Sallés and the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, we are committed to nurturing the spiritual growth of every learner. Through prayer, worship, faith formation, and meaningful religious experiences, students are guided to deepen their relationship with God, grow in Christian values, and live out their faith in daily life. These activities form an integral part of the school’s mission to develop competent, compassionate, and faith-filled individuals.
Prayer
Prayer is an essential part of daily life at St. Carmen Salles School. Students are encouraged to cultivate a personal relationship with God through classroom prayers, communal prayer services, and moments of reflection that foster gratitude, faith, and spiritual awareness.
CLE Integration in GMRC/VE
Christian Living Education (CLE), integrated with Good Manners and Right Conduct (GMRC) in Elementary and Values Education (VE) in Junior High School, provides learners with opportunities to deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith while developing moral values and responsible citizenship. Through lessons, discussions, and practical applications, students learn to live out Gospel values in their daily lives.
Holy Mass and Feast Days
The school community regularly gathers to celebrate the Holy Mass, the source and summit of Christian life. Special Masses and celebrations are also held in honor of important liturgical seasons and Marian feast days, helping students deepen their devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and appreciate the rich traditions of the Catholic faith.
Liturgical Activities
Students actively participate in various liturgical activities throughout the school year, including the Rosary, the Way of the Cross, prayer services, and other devotional practices. These activities foster spiritual reflection, strengthen faith, and encourage active participation in the prayer life of the Church.
First Holy Communion
In partnership with parents, the school prepares eligible students to receive the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist through catechetical instruction and spiritual formation. This important milestone deepens students’ relationship with Christ and their participation in the life of the Church.
Recollections
Recollections provide students with opportunities for prayer, reflection, and personal growth. Through guided activities, discussions, and moments of silence, learners are encouraged to deepen their faith, strengthen their relationship with God, and reflect on their values, choices, and responsibilities as members of the Christian community.
